Two is better than one because it allows you to rotate filling them instead of having to wait for one to fully decompose if you want to collect soil from them. It suits one person or two people who have very little waste. Or you might want one in the ground and one above the ground which would be like having 3 Compots working for you. It does of course depend on how much waste you have. It can be scaled up to more any time you think you need or want more. And it is super portable. ‘ALL’ your kitchen waste can be put inside the this portable composter, the eco-eze composter including meat, citrus, onions, oil, dairy, and anything that will break done. Literally anything biodegradable can be put inside your Compot up to 10 litres if you follow my instructions and soaked your waste. ✅ In stock and ready to be shipped today. 🚚SKU: CL2-S

Are You a Vegetarian? Consider Using Multiple 5L Compost Bins!
If you're a vegetarian, a single 5L compost bin may not be enough, even for one person, as vegetarian diets often produce more food waste compared to those who tend to eat more processed food. Although fruit and vegetable scraps decompose quickly (generally within one to two weeks), this timeline may still feel slow for those with high composting needs. Using two 5L compost bins provides a helpful rotation system: while one bin rests, you can keep adding scraps to the second. Or, expand to three bins by positioning one above ground. Watch our video on setting up your Eco-Eze composter above ground for rapid, efficient composting. Or, you could experiment with creating a dual composting system: breed worms in one 5L compost bin and raise Soldier Flies in the other. But be mindful—fresh food scraps can attract garden pests. Using a 5L compost bin in raised garden beds can work well for worm-friendly scraps. If your pots are in the ground and you notice critters like rats or possums attempting to access your compost, you will need to follow my instructions to ferment your scraps to deter them effectively. More About Direct Compost Solutions
When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.
Then a friend of mine told me about a homemade method she used. However, when I tried her method, I found this also didn't suit my needs, as it too had flaws that I considered where important. It did not keep vermin out, did not have a lockable lid and (to me) looked unsightly in the garden.
