They require a warm climate but can be grown indoors allowing it to produce fruit all year round.  The fruit is a small cone shape that points upwards to the sky and is approx. 2 to 3cm in size   Can be eaten raw, in salads, cooked, pickled, or dried.  Flavour is like capsicum, but heat is definitely not mild like capsicum with a SHU rating of anywhere between 10,000 to 30,000 depending on when you picked them

Sow seeds 6mm deep indoors in early spring or outdoors once temp reaches 18ﹾC in warm sunny position with well drained soil.  Check regularly that soil does not dry out. But it can’t be too wet either. Test with you finger in the soil.  Liquid Fertilize ever two weeks and trim back if over growing. They grow roughly to a 50cm small bush in a pot but may grow larger in the ground.

More About Direct Compost Solutions

When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.

Then a friend of mine told me about a homemade method she used. However, when I tried her method, I found this also didn't suit my needs, as it too had flaws that I considered where important. It did not keep vermin out, did not have a lockable lid and (to me) looked unsightly in the garden.
