See the below article for further information. This grade is powder form that is soft and fluffy. You do not need to grind it further into a powder as you can do with the larger size Diatomaceous Earth .2mm to .6mm. It is the super fine grade that is achieved in the commercial process. It can be used for pest control, plant growth or storing seeds as it retains moisture keeping your seeds dry and pest free the organic way. if applies in your garden around ants nests for instance it will need to be reapplied after the rain as it will disapper into the soil with rain. Can also be used in the dust bowl for your chickens to reduce lice and parasites in their food. Some people take it internationally and swear by it. There is no scientific evidence to suggest it is of any health benefit but there is plenty of anectodal evidence from those people who use it to improve their health. So I can't recommend you use it medicianally. It is up to you. I did nearly kill my cat with it when I rubbed it into his skin to kill the fleas. it dried out his skin which then became susceptible to flees. So it had the opposite effect of what I was trying to achiee. So use carefully on pets and don't rub it into their skin. it is great around the walls or corners of your house to deter ants and under the house on beam in low lying houses. To destroy an ant nest simply put a circle around the ant hole and sprinkly some inside the hole as well if you like. Works a treat. Diatomite Fines 3.5kg Bucket can be added to any order of Compots or posted anytime without Compots. I usually only stock the course grade but it is currently not availble. The Diatomite Fines is a fine powder, tricky to pack and more expensive. The course grade that can be crushed to a finer grade by putting it in a plastic bag and rolling over it with a rolling pin. It won’t get to a super fine grade but is good enough for bug control or seed saving.
If ordering Compots it is cheaper to add 300grams of product to your order rather than buying it separately as the weight does not change the postage rate of your parcel. It is also cheaper postage wise to purchase a bucket or box of Garden Supplements with your order of Compots rather than 300grams only.
However 300g is a good quantity for seed saving or propagating some seeds s it releases Boron into the soil aiding germination. You can purchase several garden supplements to try the products before you buy large quantities. If you find the postage excessive it may not be calculating properly so fill out a custom quote form instead. When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.
