EGGPLANT-BLACK BEAUTY From 1902, this remains a standard worldwide for large-fruited black eggplant. It grows on small bushes to 1.5m tall. The star-shaped flowers are an attractive mauve & the plants produce about 8 fruit per bush. They are dark purple-black in color. A great addition to any garden or can be grown successfully in containers.
Sow in seed tray or punnet, in seed raising mix or compost. Keep moist. Transfer to final position 60-75cm apart. Use a short stake in exposed areas. Can be sown directly if required.
