EGGPLANT-PING TUNG LONG (Aubergine) is an extremely beautiful heirloom from Taiwan Lavender fruits have an incredible shine that radiates off the skin. This variety is so sweet and tender, superbly delicious! One of the best Asian eggplants on the market. Slender fruits up to 35cm and slightly more than 2.5cm in diameter Hardy, vigorous plants are disease resistant. Usually produces 20 or more fruits per plant. 65-75 days from transplant. 1-1.3 mtr tall. A very adaptable eggplant variety tolerant of high heat, moisture stress and bacterial wilt.
Sow in seed tray or punnet, use seed raising mix or compost. Keep moist. Transfer to final position 60-75cm (2-2.5ft) apart. Use a short stake in exposed areas. Can be sown direct if required.
