Recycled Compots x 10 | 5L Compost Bin

Ten Recycled Compots is great for the budget conscious, environmentally conscious and those people who have a relatively large amount of waste that needs composting. You might have a large family or a lot of fruit trees where you can plant a Black Compot by several trees for all the fruit waste from the tree. Just rake it straight into the pot, lock on lid and walk away. There is a slight risk that the little tabs on the Black Lids will break. Be aware of this if you are planting them in a high traffic area.  Or purchase the Green Compots as they are slightly stronger and the lid should just push into the pot rather than break.  But it is your choice. The current material to make the Black Pots should be safe around your veggies.   The previous material I used could have potentially leached chemicals into the soil   There is no way of knowing if chemicals will leach out of the plastic unless ever batch was tested.  And this is too expensive so is not likely to ever happen. If you were making a garden seat out of recycled plastic it would not matter.  But something that is being used to nourish your veggies is another matter.  Around ornamental plants, it should not be an issue. If you are not sure then go for the green serious gardener pack as the green ones will not leach chemicals into the soil.  And you can stand on them and they won’t break. I know for myself I often forget to avoid them in the garden. But it is up to the individual. Only you can know how careful you are in your garden and what your needs are. They are perfect for raised garden beds or above ground composting because you are not likely to stand on them.

How Many Recycled Clever Compost Bins do I need?

As a general rule of thumb, I suggest one Compot per person and one for the garden. Though vegetarians often need two per person and two for the garden because they seem to have more fresh waste. Add one or two more if you have pets depending on whether you have a small or large animal and a small or large amount of animal waste. With the animal waste, it is preferable that is has decomposed properly before you spread it around your garden. Having 10 Compots allows you this luxury to let one or two sit for 4 to 6 weeks to be sure all the animal waste has decomposed.
