TOMATO-BLACK KRIM is one of the most unique tomatoes. It has a deep, dark red color that looks almost black & a deep reddish-green interior color. It will produce under poor conditions, & is the most reliable of the black tomato plants. Black Krim is an early-producing, flavourful tomato first grown in the Crimean Peninsula of Ukraine and now popular in many other countries. The taste is rich & earthy, almost smoky. Fruit is beefsteak sized & sets well in heat.
Sow in a good mix of soil and lightly cover. Keep moist but not wet. Transplant when seedlings achieve 4-6 leaves. Plant each tomato seedling so that only the top pair of leaves appear above the soil. The stem and leaves buried in the soil will develop roots, making the plant stronger & able to rapidly absorb water and nutrients.
