TOMATO-TIGERELLA has red & yellow tiger striped fruits that will add interest to any dish. Kids love them & they look great. An old variety that is well worth growing. The fruits have a really firm & meaty texture, making them ideal for slicing when you don’t want the slices to collapse. The flavour is well balanced, perfect for anything, from cooked dishes to salads. Also known in the US as Mr. Stripy. This is an English heritage variety & perhaps the prettiest of the salad types you can grow. Productive start early & continuing even after the weather cools. Indeterminate 60-70 days from transplant.
Sow in a good mix of soil and lightly cover – keep moist but not wet. To transplant, plant deeper, up to the 1st set of true leaves, this increases rooting & speeds maturity. keep fertilized & evenly watered.

When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.
