Portable Compost Bin solution – The eco-eze Compot composter –  for ALL your kitchen waste. You can move them around your garden or dig them up when you move house.  Three Compots are a good starting number for a two or three-person household.  If you produce a bucket of waste every 4 days or weekly you will most likely need 3 Compots.  Depending on what you waste, what your soil is like, what your climate is like and what you want to achieve in your garden, will determine whether you need more than three of this Portable Compost Bin system.

Just start filling your Compots and you will soon work out if three is enough for you or not.   A portable compost bin solution makes it easy to place them anywhere you like in your garden for maximum effect and move them around the garden if you want.  To me, that is more work though.   You can always get more if you find you need more, but you have to start somewhere.

Why have three?

With three Compots the worms will move around the garden from pot to pot and follow the food source.   As they move they spread their castings which in turn will nourish more parts of your garden. And you don’t have to spread compost.  Three pots mean you can nourish more different parts of your garden without moving the Compots. Therefore less work for you. The worms do it all.  A spare Compot allows for extra waste overflow when you have extra guests. Or let one rest for 4 to 6 weeks to decompose fully and harvest the beautiful, composted soil.

As a portable compost bin solution, you can dig them up and move them anywhere in your garden at will.  To me, that is extra work though. I prefer to have a few more so I don’t have to keep digging holes.  But this is a great way to nourish your garden without the added expense of fertilisers.

Why is being portable an asset?

Because it is a portable compost bin solution you can plant it wherever you want.  Don’t like it one spot – move it.  Want to nourish another spot – Move it.  Moving house – dig it up, empty the contents into the hole you left behind, give it a quick rinse and take it with you. Be aware of any restrictions with moving soil between states or areas impacted by fire ants.

It is that simple. This way you can nourish more of your garden with a little extra work digging holes.  But if you don’t want to dig holes then purchase a few more and place them strategically around your garden for best results.    A portable compost bin system gives you more flexibility where you want to nourish your garden.  If you want a hidden portable compost bin in your garden instead of a big visible compost bin then an eco-eze Compot or three is the way to go.     Your garden gets nourished, you dispose of your waste and you hardly have to do a thing, except keep topping it up, and give it an occasional clean out.
And as a bonus, if you are moving house – remove them, give then a clean out, and take them with you to your next destination.

Your eco-eze Compot composter is a clever, easy to use, in-ground, direct compost solution, designed to dispose of all your kitchen waste.  It can be adapted to suit any size garden, either large or small.  It is meant to make composting easy while nourishing your garden without the usual hard work that composting requires.

The design of the Compot allows you to fill it with all your kitchen waste including meat, citrus, onions, oil, dairy and basically anything biodegradable such as animal waste, without needing to chop it up into little pieces like you have to do with worm composting.  And, you don’t have to keep digging holes, unless of course you want to move them around your garden every 6 months or so.  That to me is too much work.

And all you have to do is keep topping it up or refilling it whenever you have any waste.  There is no need to wait for everything to decompose.  Just toss more waste on top of the old waste, lock on the lid and cover with anything but dirt or sugar cane mulch.
Simply…Fill… Forget… Refill.

Ideally, plant a few around your garden and rotate filling them.  By the time you get back to the first one, it will be well and truly ready to take more of your waste.  Plus it is super easy to harvest soil if you want to use the soil for your potted plants.    Just let one rest for 4 to 6 weeks without topping it up and it will turn into beautiful rich composted soil that is easy to scoop out with your hand or a trowel.

If you don’t like filling them with everything from your kitchen you can choose to fill them with just “worm friendly” food only.  It is slower with worms, and you can’t compost everything – only worm friendly waste.  The choice is yours.  Work out what works best for you.

The green eco-eze Compots are made from virgin plastic material that should last you roughly 10 years plus in the garden.  There are no harmful chemicals in this material and it should not break if you stand on the lid.  The lid will usually push into the pot rather than break.  If you hit it with a rotary hoe (as one customer did) it will no doubt get chopped up.  The lid is designed to take the weight of a 50 Kg child who might run across it.  I personally have jumped on them and the lid usually just pushes inside the Compot Base.  The product is guaranteed for 2 years under normal circumstances, but it should last much longer than 2 years so you get many valuable years of use out of your Compots.

To post one Compot costs the same as three Compots (unless you live in Brisbane where the rates are generally less than most other areas) so consider the postage costs when you order to get the best value out of your post.

After 3 Compots it costs roughly the same to post up to 14 Compots depending on where you live.   You can test different bundles for postage costs by entering your suburb details and requesting a quote.   Just don’t follow through with the order.   Try another bundle to compare postage costs, and then make your choice on the bundle you want.   Or call us if you can’t work this out.

The updated website and shopping cart should automatically calculate any variations of products you add to your order and offer you the three cheapest options (one with signature required) so you can choose which option you prefer, be it courier or Australia Post.  However, if this does not appear to happen then please call us (0467 006 529 / (07) 3358 3716) for a correct quote or continue to payment options.  We will refund you any postage charges over and above what the real cost is when we calculate and book your order.   So don’t be put off by the post.

If for any reason you feel the postage to your area is excessive (and sometimes it is to remote areas) please email us  so we can work something out for you.  The updated website will now give you Australia Post and courier costs, but this still may be excessive.   So, contact us to see how we can help.
