SPRING ONION-RED BUNCHING An evergreen red-skinned bunching Onion to be grown & used in the same way as white bunching Onions. Plants grow 70-75 cm high, & 1.5-2 cm in diameter, and have a mild sweet taste. This variety of spring or Bunching Onions would make a welcome addition to any salad or culinary display with its bright red attractive stalks. Non-bulbing, singled stemmed, long red onion. Spring or early Autumn. It’s hard to imagine a day without onions, an essential ingredient in many salads, soups & stews. Packed with flavor.
Sow sparingly to avoid thinning out; ideally allow 2cm between each seedling. Each seed should then produce a single well-shaped onion. Harvest when the foliage has fully died down. Store in a cool, dry place. Sow Spring or early autumn.

More About Us
When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.
Then a friend of mine told me about a homemade method she used. However, when I tried her method, I found this also didn’t suit my needs, as it too had flaws that I considered where important. It did not keep vermin out, did not have a lockable lid and (to me) looked unsightly in the garden
