Brassica oleracea
BROCCOLI-ROMANESCO produces a stunning apple-green whorled head with better taste & texture than most of the finest broccolis. Widely grown & prized in Italy. When the plant is approaching maturity it forms a single head about 20 to 30cm across that has a wonderful mosaic pattern. When the central head is cut smaller heads will form on the side.
Sow seeds indoors ¼” deep. If planting for a spring crop, plant out just before the last frost. Broccoli prefers cool temperatures and a regular supply of water. It can be grown as both a spring & autumn crop.

More About Us
When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.
Then a friend of mine told me about a homemade method she used. However, when I tried her method, I found this also didn’t suit my needs, as it too had flaws that I considered where important. It did not keep vermin out, did not have a lockable lid and (to me) looked unsightly in the garden
