Lactuca sativa
LETTUCE-RED GREEN SALAD BOWL MIX will brighten up all your Summer salads with both red & green leaves. A crisp, tender, ‘non-hearting’ variety. The leaves can be picked a few at a time whenever they are required. Crops throughout Summer even in hot, dry weather & hardly ever bolts. Lettuces prefer a sunny position and fairly rich soil. The combination of red and green plants make an attractive showing You must keep picking to prevent bitterness.
Sow at two weekly intervals for a continuous supply. Keep watered & weed free. Pick the leaves when they are young for the best flavor.

More About Us
When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.
Then a friend of mine told me about a homemade method she used. However, when I tried her method, I found this also didn’t suit my needs, as it too had flaws that I considered where important. It did not keep vermin out, did not have a lockable lid and (to me) looked unsightly in the garden
