PUMPKIN-JACK BE LITTLE is a very decorative, miniature Pumpkin that is also very very edible with sweet flavored flesh. These charming little orange pumpkins are somewhat flattened & ribbed, with small, strong stems, 5 cm high & 7.5 cm in diameter, weighing 85 – 115g. It stores well, shelf life is up to 12 months if cured fully on the vine. Small vigorous compact vines spread 3 – 4.5m, producing up to 20 edible fruits. Kids love these easy-to-grow baby Pumpkins, which fit into the palm of your hand. A taste sensation, I love growing them.
Direct sow into your garden. Plant outdoors after the last frost, in full sun. Pumpkins, are big feeders so plant them in rich garden soil. Mix in ample amounts of compost & manure prior to planting. These are vining plants so if you are limited in garden space, plant them where they can grow on a trellis or fence. If growing in a container choose a very large one. Keep the soil moist but try to avoid watering the leaves. Mulching around the plants helps to keep the weeds down, & retain moisture.

More About Us
When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.
Then a friend of mine told me about a homemade method she used. However, when I tried her method, I found this also didn’t suit my needs, as it too had flaws that I considered where important. It did not keep vermin out, did not have a lockable lid and (to me) looked unsightly in the garden
