Pisum sativum
SNOWPEA-MAMMOTH MELTING has extra large, delectably sweet & tender pods with delicate, mouthwatering crunch. These 1.5-1.8 metre tall vines require trellising for support & bear over a long period of time. Large white flowers are an extra bonus, adding a splash of brightness to your edible landscape. Long harvest window, 10-15cm pods. They remain stringless & sweet longer than others. Resistance against Fusarium Wilt.

Sow thinly in trench rows 5cm deep, fill the trench and gently firm down. Pea seeds DO NOT like heavy soil.

More About Us

When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.

Then a friend of mine told me about a homemade method she used.   However, when I tried her method, I found this also didn’t suit my needs, as it too had flaws that I considered where important. It did not keep vermin out, did not have a lockable lid and (to me) looked unsightly in the garden
