Lycopersicon esculentum
TOMATO-THAI PINK EGG often classified as a grape tomato, the Thai Pink Egg looks little like the grape tomatoes most people are familiar with. The fruits are some of the more beautiful tomatoes cultivated today with smooth, jade-pink skin, with the shape of an egg. Fruits may grow to 5cm long, by about 2.5cm wide. Flavour is mild. The plants are dense with an upright growth habit. They are quite popular in Thailand, particularly for their pleasant appearance. Resists cracking even in heavy rain climates.

Sow in a good mix of soil and lightly cover – keep moist but not wet.  To transplant, plant deeper, up to the 1st set of true leaves, this increases rooting & speeds maturity. keep fertilized & evenly watered.

More About Us

When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.

Then a friend of mine told me about a homemade method she used.   However, when I tried her method, I found this also didn’t suit my needs, as it too had flaws that I considered where important. It did not keep vermin out, did not have a lockable lid and (to me) looked unsightly in the garden
