BEETROOT-BULLS BLOOD is a Victorian heritage beetroot, Bull’s Blood greens turn dark burgundy and develop a rich flavor. This beet grows both delicious tops & roots. The tops are a dark red to purple color & are great in salads. The roots are sweet and firm. Quick growing & can be ready in 56 days. Harvest baby greens at 35 days or so. Sow seed where it is to grow in early spring or late summer.
Soak the seed in warm water for an hour before sowing (it helps germination) Sow thinly in rows, the rows should be 30cm apart. Cover lightly with 2.5cm of soil. Firm gently and water carefully.

More About Us
When I started this journey in 2009, I found nothing existed commercially, that was reasonably priced and easy to use. There was a homemade system which I also found was not that user-friendly.
Then a friend of mine told me about a homemade method she used. However, when I tried her method, I found this also didn’t suit my needs, as it too had flaws that I considered where important. It did not keep vermin out, did not have a lockable lid and (to me) looked unsightly in the garden
