EGGPLANT – ITALIAN LONG PURPLE

EGGPLANT – ITALIAN LONG PURPLE is of course an Italian type of eggplant with dark purple coloring. Large fruits with fine flavour. Vigorous growth with heavy crops. Best used before they are 20-25 cm long. Plant can grow to 60-75 cm and produce more than 8 eggplants.
Plant during spring to early summer. Sow thinly 5mm deep either direct where they are to grow or into a tray of seed raising mixture. Keep soil well-drained. Prefers the soil rich in organic matter. Seedlings emerge 10-14 days. 12-16 weeks to harvest and yields 3.5kg per plant.
