KALE – DWARF SIBERIAN
Brassica napus
A nice smaller space kale, growing to 60cm across. Produces over a long season. Features frilly leaves with classic kale flavor that are quite tasty cooked. Good cold tolerance. As a garden crop, it’s the least demanding in terms of care & nutrients. Siberian Dwarf is popular for its delicious leaves rather than its roots. Originally from Russia, this frost-tolerant, compact & robust Kale is ideal for small gardens and containers 50 days.
Sow the seeds in a seedbed. The timing is not vital because kale will germinate in temps as low as 5°C & as high as 35°C. When 4 leaves have developed (about 6 weeks after sowing) transplant them to their final position. They should be planted slightly deeper than they grew in the seedbed.
